I have the MOST FUN any time I’m in front of Michelle’s camera. She is so fun to hang out with and it ends up being the best girl time + hair and makeup! Y’all know I have 4 kids and I work from home.. I don’t get to feel fancy very often! If you like laughing until your cheeks hurt (your face cheeks) and feeling 🔥 - book a shoot with her! 10/10 highly recommend.

Thank goodness for spring. 🌸 2026 has been kin Thank goodness for spring. 🌸

2026 has been kind of a weird, wild ride so far, but full of good things. I started a new job! And that has taken up a lot of my time (in a good way), so I’ve been a little bit quiet around here.

I’m trying as hard as I can to prioritize myself more these days. Finally went to the doctor and did some blood work. Turns out, I’m severely anemic. I’m hoping I’ll start feeling better and little more awake after I start my iron. 😅 Maybe I can lay off the coffee a little bit. (J/k)

I can’t believe it’s almost April after we went through 3 years of January, but I’m not mad about it! Ready to relax outside on patios with family/friends and enjoy our kiddos running around. We made it. 🖤

And he said this to his social media loving picture taking wife who is finally feeling the sunlight on her face after months of seasonal depression. 🤪 Might just turn this into a Nate appreciation account. Stay tuned.😉

Belamere Suites: A Review

If you read my previous post, you know that we spent last weekend in Toledo, OH as an early one year anniversary present. I’ve boasted about the wonderful place that we are so thankful to have been able to stay in, Belamere Suites, and now I’m going to share a few pictures and give a little bit of a review!

This was the first room that we stayed in. We would have spent the entire time in a room this size, but they were booked up for the next night. So that is the only reason that we moved to the second room.

My attempt at a panoramic view! Kind wonky, but click it to make it bigger. It’s still neat.

This is the second room that we stayed in. It was quite a bit bigger! When you walked in from the garage the pool was right around the corner, and then the room was at the top of a flight of steps.

Looking down from the top of the stairs.

The best bed ever.. with one exception*..

The other side of the bedroom.

Another fabulous walk in shower with dual shower heads!

Now for my review! As you can see, both rooms were beautiful! I was quite impressed with the little details, like free room service for breakfast at a time of your choice. The pastries were delicious and straight out of the oven! Having a garage was also unusual and a nice touch for a hotel. But our own pool?! That was insane to me. If you ever wanted to go skinny dipping, say hello to the perfect chance! ;] Another simple detail I really liked: name brand soaps, lotions, and shampoo/conditioner. I know, I’m such a snob. But I love Bath & Body Works stuff so it was nice that they provided that! We also really enjoyed being able to play our own music in the pool area. There was a radio/ipod hookup/cd player and we were able to play our iPods a bit and listen to our own music while swimming!

The second room was my favorite. It wasn’t so different from the first other than the size, but the pool was bigger and it also came with our own personal sauna! I didn’t get a picture of the sauna for some reason. I wasn’t feeling very well after we got back from eating and going to the concert on Saturday night and I got really cold while I was in the pool. So I just hopped out and cranked that bad boy up to 100 degrees. Ahhhhh, that was nice. After that we relaxed in the jacuzzi tub and both fell asleep! The bed in this room was significantly more comfy. I loved the bedding and the down pillows.

Now, for the very few drawbacks! No windows– is this weird to anyone else? I think this would be fine for the Winter. In fact, I think there would be nothing better than being snowed in at this place. But in the Summer when there’s SUN, I need the sun. It felt like midnight at all times while we were in the room. I had a lot of trouble waking up in the morning because my body naturally wakes up with the sunlight. I wake up every morning at 7:40AM right now because of the way the sun comes in my window. So this completely threw my body off.

The last and only real issue we had was a fluke, but still needs mentioning because it was pretty awful and I really expected some kind compensation for it. Again, I’m not a snob.. but dude. Listen. When Nate pulled back the covers on his side of the bed- there was smeared blood on the sheets. I’m not going to just slap the photo up here but click here and here if you want to see what I’m talking about. I took these for proof.

I was already asleep when Nate discovered it on his side and he seriously thought it was some how from me. But, NOPE. Not me. And we checked ourselves all over for possibilities since we had just been to a concert. But we knew we hadn’t even moved the bedding and it was on the fitted sheet and the top sheet, as if someone slid into it with their leg bleeding or something. Nate slept on top of the covers and showed me in the morning. With the help of our brilliant results cleaning service from Valparaiso in Indiana, house cleaning has never been easier. We told the girl at the front desk and the guy who checks the rooms was near by saying, “That’s impossible.” I’m like, “Yeah.. we’re making it up?” It was almost as if they thought WE did it, but um.. no. We didn’t. I wasn’t interested in throwing a fit- we enjoyed our stay there. But that’s just disgusting, and I kind of expected her to maybe do something? Not charge us for the drinks we had out of the mini fridge maybe? Something.

Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves and had a good time relaxing! If you want privacy and quality alone time- this is your place! You can even order little packages to be delivered to your room: movie and pizza, or jacuzzi bath salts, soaps, and aromatherapy. You literally don’t ever have to leave if you don’t want to! Just check your sheets first. ;]

    Ew. Blood. EW!

I would have expected compensation or SOMETHING … I mean thats just gross!

The thing is – if blood stains (and has been washed) it wouldn't be that bright. It was fairly recent… either when the sheets were changed (hopefully) or the last time someone slept in them.

    Ew!

If I were that guy I probably wouldn't have believe you either! Haha Most people would have called room service right away, I know I would!

Other than that, the rooms are so awesome! It makes me want to find nice places to stay when I travel instead of camping!

Ah, I know! Nate didn't find it until 2:30AM when I was asleep and he genuinely thought it was probably from me, so he didn't worry about it. It wasn't until the next morning when he was like, "Look what you did." and I was like.. UM? NO? that he realized it had been there.

Yeah, blood on the sheets is definitely a deeeeeal breaker! Sometimes mess ups do happen, though. Otherwise it looks like a fabulous hotel (although I agree that the windowless thing is weird.)
