Today Nate and I decided to go and get a bigger cage for Biscuit. He was sort of outgrowing the one that he had so it was definitely time. We went back to the pet shop that we got him at because PetSmart didn’t have a very good assortment of cages, and we thought we might want to look into finally adopting the second (and final) bunny. So after we got done with some chores and a big grocery shopping trip- we went.
As soon as we looked at the bunnies we saw him- he was the only English Spot bunny with brown on him. His markings are so pretty and once we held him we knew that we had to have him! His pretty little markings gave us the idea for the name Freckles, and I think we’ll be sticking with that. =)
Once we got everything home we set up the new cage for Biscuit and I scrubbed out the old one for Freckles. Yes, he has a hand me down cage. True siblings. Or are they? Because I mean, I’ve never had any siblings .. but I’m pretty sure my older brother wouldn’t try to hump me. Especially not if I was also a boy. And especially not if he had already been FIXED. WHAT IS THIS. I didn’t see this coming. People told me that bunnies got a long and loved each other- playing joyfully together. At least when they’re spayed/neutered and certainly when they’re both of the same gender! So why is Biscuit trying to rape Freckles?! Like, poor Freckles is 1/4 the size of Biscuit and he’s terrified. I’m really hoping that after a little bit of time together that this gets better… but to be honest friends, I’m a little worried. Separate play time may be an unfortunate reality.
Overall, I think (hope) this was a good decision.. because I’m not the kind of person who adopts a pet and returns it or whatever. I basically just adopted a child. So, we’ll be working this out one way or another.

In celebration of our 100th day- a new addition to the family!!
I have a fun little video blog to share with you all from Saturday but it’s literally been uploading ALL DAY LONG. It made it to 83% and I accidentally shut my laptop. Genius move, I know. We have a few downloads going on the other computer as well so I’m thinking that has a lot to do with it taking like 12 hours. Whatever.. I guess you’ll see it tomorrow! I love rabbits! I used to have Flemish Giants when I was a kid. Biscuit is SO CUTE. I can absolutely see why you had to have him.
They're just so cute! Ahhh. We will not be bunny hoarders though- this is the last one! Haha.
I had two best bunnies, Choco and Marshy last year and they were like brothers. Sadly though, Choco died less than a year old. My sisters and I had no idea what was the cause of his death, though. We dis brought him to the pet clinic and the only thing they said was good things/not too worry.
After Choco died, we got another bunny by the name of 'Megat'. 'Megat' means warrior in my language. Marshy couldn't get along with Megat. Megat keeps humping Marshy and they will fight like wild animals. Just like your 'babies', my babies have different playtime too.
It's really nice to read your entry and know that there's someone out there with similar interest. I like your idea of '365 days of marriage'. I'm thinking if I settle down one day, I'll do the same!

I'm so sorry for your loss of Choco. 🙁 That is one of my worst fears with having bunnies- sudden death. I hope that the rest of our babies have long and happy lives.. and that maybe they can learn to get along! I never suspected they'd not like each other, but maybe it'll get better!

Love Freckles!!! He and Biscuit will get along soon enough. I think Biscuit is just like WHAT IS THIS, IT MUST BE A PRESENT FOR ME! And the only way he know to show his like for it is to hump? Whatever. Hopefully you won't have to separate them forever.

Millie humps & she's fixed, too (and a girl haha)! I think it's an act of dominance. Biscuit is probably like, "Dude. This is my pad, mmk?" and in a couple weeks, he'll probably be more willing to share. 🙂 Freckles is adorable!!!! Love <3
