The Sunday routine has become pretty predictable for Nate and I. He wakes up fairly early in the morning and goes down stairs and watches TV/plays video games while I sleep from anywhere between 9:30am-12pm. Then, if I wake up on the early side of usual wake up times I might do things that need doing. On the other hand, if I awake around noon (like today) I end up crawling down the stairs to the couch to complain to Nate about how I slept too late and whyyyy did I do that and ahhhhh I don’t want to do anything I need to doooo. Once I finally made it into the shower and got ready we went and did our last minute grocery shopping for the week, like we always do. But there was something slightly unusual about today…. ;] You will just have to wait until the end of this post to find out what!
Another thing I do on the weekends? Catch up on 365’s. Normally I do this earlier in the weekend! Shame on me.

On Wednesday Nate was supposed to have his first T-Ball practice with his little team of five year olds. Awww, my Hubby the T-Ball Coach. *swoon* However, it got rained out and so we ended up enjoying a yummy dinner at Chili’s and browsing a few stores. It was a nice after work afternoon and evening. When we got home we took a little walk around the neighborhood but didn’t go very far because it started to get pretty cold! I was wearing shorts and a tank earlier in the day and had to put on leggings and a cardigan to go out.. but even that wasn’t enough for long!

Day 83 of 365 Days of Marriage
Thursday included work and Trivia Night! I didn’t get any pictures from Trivia Night, so we just did a little artsy shot. =) I actually really like the way that this one turned out because not only are our wedding photos in it, but my parent’s wedding photo snuck in too in the background!

Friday was such a fabulous day. Not only did Kentucky make it into the Elite 8, but I scored amazing deals on shoes AND got to spend time with Brittany & Ashley all evening! We started out at the mall and met up with Nate, Jackson, Kristie, and Kyle at a local bar to watch the game. I got two pair of amazing shoes for about $25- total! I know! I practically hugged the Pac Sun guy when he found my size (that he said they didn’t have at first) in a pair of Oxford slip ons that cost me- SIX DOLLARS. YES. $6. I was already wearing the first pair of shoes I bought pretty much the second we set foot in the mall because they were made for the outfit I was wearing- and I’m not lying. I can’t believe that I didn’t get a picture of that outfit, either. BUT I’m pretty sure I’ll be wearing it again. ;]

Ignore my devil eyes..
Anyway, yes- the ELITE 8! Ashley and I munched onion rings and ignored a lot of the game on accident. We were sitting with our legs locked like puzzle pieces on the bar stools talking and playing with our phones. Whoops! Brittany was talking to Kyle and would come talk to us intermittently, and everyone else was intently watching the game. After we came back in from charging Ashley’s phone in my car (so she could get her text on!) and having an old strange man stand in the parking lot and stare at my car for a good 5 minutes and then KNOCK on my window and ask us if we could “drive him a few blocks” (UM NO?!) we came back inside to watch he 2nd half. When we won that game, I swear- the bar erupted. We were jumping up and down and hugging and screaming- it was awesome. Ha! Such a fun atmosphere. Nate and I took this high fiving picture after we got home to show our excitement!

Saturday Nate finally got to have his first T-Ball practice at noon. I contemplated going but decided I would stay at home and get a few things done around the house. I pretty much just updated the blog though. Ha. But it got much colder on Saturday than it had been and there wasn’t much point in me going- so I opted to not freeze. Nate had a great time coaching though and I am so glad. He’s doing it for our Nephew Ethan and I really don’t think there could be anyone more well suited for the job! After he got back later in the afternoon we went out to pick up my contacts and to look for a new Chi hair straightener. Mine finally kicked the bucket after 3 years!
I ended up getting this little set. It was on sale that day and I had a 20% off coupon on top of that- making it about $90 I think? Pretty decent for something that I use everyday and should last me 3-4 years!

There’s not a whole lot to say about today except for: GO CATS! We are now in the Final Four! Woohoo!
I hope you all had a great weekend! I know we did!
