This week has been less than satisfactory. Work and stress have been two key factors. Valentine’s Day sort of just got pushed to the side and trampled by those two pesky annoyances. And so did my 365 posts or any other type of blogging for that matter. Whoops!
I want to be honest here and say that I think Nate and I realize that we are in need of some “focus on us” time. We’ll be really 100% in tune with each other for months and months and then we’ll hit a little patch (a few days) where we just seem to bicker about silly things or not really “get” the other one. I think most marriages/relationships endure these types of little bumps because we’re all human and it’s normal. But I think a lot of people who do 365s and things like this where they document “their lives” fail to mention the times that things aren’t absolutely perfect and I don’t want to be like that. I want it to be real- this is us. I don’t think it’s shameful at all to admit that and I never will. =)

Day 47 of 365 Days of Marriage

Oh yeah, B & I definitely have those spots, too. Sometimes I'll notice after like a week that we've barely kissed/touched/talked! And when I think back on that week, I'll realize we fought a lot more, too. Eventually one of us will bring it up & we'll work it out. As long as you recognize it as normal & you kinda just go with the flow, it's just a part of marriage that we all experience. I think it's kinda sad that some Projects 365 never show the downtime because it's definitely there. I think this project will help you guys have a common bond/goal even through the downtime though, and that's great!
The toasting picture is my fav.
I've been missing your posts (though completely understand that you have a life and were busy) – the pictures bring a smile to my face… almost like something my fiance and I can do next year. A hope for the future.
I agree with the bumpy patches and being out of tune. I just take everything in stride. Usually its me doing all of the bickering & picking at him (poor guy) but eventually I realize that its stupid and drop it. Why spend time bickering when you can spend time in love?
So true, so true!
PS, I love the second photo. What were you guys doing, haha?
He was telling me who he loves! 🙂
