Don’t take this one too seriously. I mean, I only wear my bright red lipstick, jewelry, and a full face of makeup to bed now and then. HA. But I had this idea for a picture and wanted to see how it would turn out. I’ve been feeling more comfortable with my slightly “risque” ideas for our 365. I’ve seen a few coupled 365’s that include far more personal shots than I’d ever be interested in doing- but something like this just makes me smile and remember how fun it is to be married. And that’s exactly the vibe I want this project to give. Because it is!
Marriage is also about self control: something we lack when it comes to food. I just sat here and talked about our savings plan last night, and what’d we go and do today? Had half-price appetizers at Applebees for dinner. For SHAME. But it was pretty cheap.. so. *shakes head* We have meals for the next three days all lined up though, so I guess I can’t feel too badly.
Tomorrow: Broccoli Cheese Quiche with a side salad
Friday: Lemon Pepper Garlic Chicken with mixed veggies / garlic linguine
Saturday: A roast cooked with carrots and potatoes – in the crock pot all day!
It’s going to smell good in this house ALL DAY Saturday. =)

hahah, nate looks like a doll. too cute.
Too funny! Love it!
You two are adorable and I absolutely love coming to this site everyday to see your new photo! I think the "risque" side of things is fun to do and hey, you're married! Thats the fun of it right?! Haha!! Its too cute!
Also, Applebees is amazing. Never feel bad for that. HA
Your future dinners sound amazinnnnng! You should take pictures of that too when you make them! <3
I think the interesting thing about your 365 project is that they're more editorial type photographs than daily snapshots, which is interesting — while they don't seem as spur of the moment, I can see the creativity and almost like magazine article picture set up.
Regarding food and budgetting — we used to eat out 2 -3 times a week and that was bad on our wallets AND our health. Once we made a point to eat out less, it has made a big difference. We usually cook a big meal early on in the week and eat leftovers for the rest of the week, or simple stuff like soup or sandwiches. Then we allow ourselves a night out on Friday and/or Saturday. It's great because we're eating healthier AND cheaper, and because we don't eat out as often, it seems more special and awesome when we do. Maybe ya'll can do something like that too? Pick a special date night and then a friends night and those be your eat out nights?
Those recipes do look good though.
That's kind of what I'm going for. I like some random snap-shot type photos. But I feel that if we do a random snapshot for 365 days- it's going to get real boring, REAL quick. Like. Here we are. Here we are again. OH HERE WE ARE. I really want to be able to look back on it and see that I put a lot of work into it. And all of the set up shots pertain to something that may have happened earlier. … God help me if my Parents come across this particular 365 photo. LOL. I don't think my Mom would see the art in this.. 😉
And we are a lot better about eating out- we were eating out 2-3 times a week as well. But we're just really trying to cut it out for the most part. We do decide on a special night now and then, usually toward the end of the month when we can see all the bills paid and what's left over. 🙂 Buffalo Wild Wings calls to us..
OH MY GOD. This made me smile so freaking huge! It's too cute.
Um, and I'm completely in love with your bed and your hair. Ahh they're both amazing!
I have such a problem not going out to eat! My man and I used to eat out many times a week and we finally said, this must stop! We would spend like all our paychecks going out to eat, but it was nothing special. As emmysuh said, it makes it was more 'special' when you do get to go out that one night a week or whatever.
Now we just spend a bunch of money at the grocery store and make tons of really amazing food that tastes way better than any restaurant could!
<3
Haha AW thank you so much for all the compliments! <3
We are right there with you on our old eating habits. We're doing so much better but every now and then something just calls to us that we can't refuse. And then we feel guilty later.. haha. But it's definitely more special now that we don't do it as often. 🙂
I need to learn to make food that tastes better than restaurant food .. that would help a lot!
