Honestly I can’t believe a band tee didn’t mak Honestly I can’t believe a band tee didn’t make it into this mix. 🎶🤘🏻 But there’s a @drpepper t-shirt so that’s even better! I’ve been having so much fun lately remixing things I’ve had for years along with a few new pieces!

Thrifting and finding a super good clearance deal = my favorite! I’m not really sure what my style is these days.. but I’m having fun playing around with it and feeling a little more like ME in what I’m wearing. Warped Tour heart, coffee shop soul vibes? ✨😆

I think sometime between becoming a mom, working, I think sometime between becoming a mom, working, keeping up with a house, and trying to take care of everyone else… I forgot to ask myself what I actually like.

So lately I’ve been paying attention.

The clothes I want to wear.

The hobbies I want to try.

The spaces I want to create.

The things that make me feel like myself.

Maybe this is exactly what your late 30s are for. Not becoming someone new.. but remembering who you are.✨

I still just sit and stare at them in disbelief sometimes.. my twin babies.. my last babies.. and somehow they’ve been here for 4 whole years. If you’re a twin mom, you know that the time passes different. The early stages are a blur in a way I don’t even know how to explain. It makes it all a bit more bittersweet.

I love you Bennett & Everett! 💙💙

The Case Of The Missing Apron

(my owl pocket apron! – owl pocket is on the other side)

I’m not sure that I’ve ever mentioned this on my blog but I have been grieving the mysterious loss of my favorite apron since we moved into our house in June. I’ve whined about it many times on Facebook and talked to all of my friends about it. Ashley was especially on board with my sadness considering she is the one who bought me this apron. So yes, I’ve ransacked our house and every box and possible place where it could possibly be and each time I’ve done this I have turned up NOTHING. I thought it strange that this was the only thing I was missing.. considering it would not be packed into a box by itself?

Yesterday I decided I wanted to wear one of two dresses to work. And then I realized- I haven’t seen either of these dresses in a long, long time. Where could they be? With no time to spare before work I started searching ever possible place in my house and came up with nothing. After this, I knew that an entire box of clothes was missing and it made me sick. I hate to lose things, HATE. I know most people don’t like to lose things, but it creates an anxiety in me like no other. I have to find whatever I’ve lost or it will eat me alive.. and if I’ve decided it’s gone for good I will think on it for years. Example- I lost a pair of real white gold hoop earrings (a gift – around $100) during Halloween Haunt at Kings Island and it still makes me sick to this day. Another example, I lost my favorite bathing suit the night before my wedding and didn’t realize it wasn’t in my suitcase until we were in Hawaii and I nearly let it ruin our first night in Oahu- stupid, I know! .. and please don’t ask how I lost my bathing suit, but my cousin mailed it to me after we got home. Shew. (PS: don’t let your friends make your alcoholic beverages the night before your wedding.)

(See- missing black dress. I also realized the sparkle shirt Ash is wearing was missing too, upon looking at this picture.)

When I went to bed last night I prayed like I normally do, and I started thinking about my missing stuff. I started thinking maybe they got put into the “donate” bag when we were packing and they were in Goodwill somewhere! I started thinking maybe someone less fortunate had them.. and I prayed and said that if that was true then that was okay. Next thing I knew I was dreaming about Biscuit. She was hiding under our bed and I was trying to get her out, and I was pushing a box back and forth trying to push her out. And she said (yes she talks in my dream), “Look in the box.” I woke up immediately. Got out of bed, turned on the light, and looked under the bed. A BOX!!!!! I pulled it out and it practically fell apart and my missing stuff spilled out everywhere! =D

Between God, our first snow, and Biscuit- I was led to my missing clothes. Snow is good luck after all, just ask Lorelai Gilmore. I’m so thankful!

Aw! That's so awesome on how you found your missing clothes. I lost so many things with our move last year that I still can't find some boxes 🙁 it really sucks.

Let's hope I have the same luck you had!

Yes she does!! I just gave her a bite of carrot, even though she’s not *supposed* to have any until she’s 4 months… shhhh.

That is such a great story 🙂 I've been slowly making my way through Gilmore Girls and I must say the thing between Lorelai and Luke is so sad 🙁 The snow thing was funny though, I had my first white winter last year and I was amazed at how quickly the snow would come then disappear, then come back again. I got sick of it pretty quickly- espesically when I fell over on the ice. Oww.

Way to go, Nancy Drew! You cracked the case! Those meddlin' kids! 🙂

Seriously, glad you found your stuff. I hate losing stuff too. I used to be really absent minded growing up, hated it, and learned to be realyl anal about keeping track of my stuff. Glad stuff you really love came back to you!

WoooHOO! I used to LOVE Nancy Drew, lol!

I’m so glad too, shew. I’ve always been a psycho person about my stuff. I don’t just set anything down anywhere if it’s easily lost, like jewelry or something. Everything has it’s place!

aw she helped you to find your stuff. That’s great. I love the feeling of remembering where something that you want is and you find it.
