I’m really kicking myself for not being more coherent around 4:30AM and 7AM Friday morning, because I’d really like to have a video or a picture of the insanity going on outside at that time to show you now so you’d have just a small idea. But, I was half asleep and watching in awe- and while the thought crossed my mind to pick up my camera (as I wondered if Ashley was outside about to be struck), it just didn’t happen. Nate and I have never seen lightning like this or heard thunder like this- ever. The area of Florida that I’m from is known for it’s extreme lighting storms- and I’ve never witnessed anything like what I saw in our backyard Friday morning! Apparently our house was not up for the challenge- because it took the life of our brand new 50 inch Samsung TV, our internet, and our garage door. While this is annoying I can’t be too upset because everything else lived. Strangely enough the other things plugged into the TV’s surge protector are fine- Xbox, Wii, DVD player, speakers – all fine! The internet has been fixed and there’s a Samsung guy coming out sometime this week. We’ll see what we’re up against then I guess. Not sure about the garage door yet.
In happier news- our blinds are being put up as we speak! Nate and Jonathan are tag teaming them and should be done pretty soon. I’m super excited about the prospect of changing upstairs and not being afraid that all of my neighbors are watching me. Very excited about this. (I took a break- they’re done now. Yay!)
Also very excited still about the domain name, even though I haven’t had time to really do what I’ve wanted to do with it yet! (subject switch!) Yeah, it really just makes my day to write somewhere new and to have nothing but this “new chapter” archived here. I went through a lot of good and bad times with my “old blog” (as I’ve mentioned), wrote about them, and tried not to hold back. It’s good to leave a lot of that “style” of writing behind. I’m not sure if I mentioned before that I wanted the new blog to sort of be kept secret, but at first that was the goal. I quickly realized that was a stupid idea and basically just wasn’t going to work. If someone wants to read my blog they’ll find it, right? People know I blog and I like it that way. I like sharing pieces of my life, with everyone. I used my old blog as a means of communication to specific people at times, but I want my readers to know now that I haven’t done that here and I wont be. I’m enjoying chronicling my life as a married woman, the love, the ups, the downs, the friendships, the hardships of friendship, the fun, and whatever else I chose to share that I like or dislike- fashion, photography, music, and all of the things that make me who I am. That’s it folks- no underlying messages. Nothing but my boring interests and current relationships. 😉 I figure a phone call is better than a blog if I want to tell someone something anyway, right?
Well, I think I’m off to try out my new bubble bar from Lush! I bought one that isn’t listed or I’d show you. It looks like a cupcake. 🙂

That's kind of how I felt when I recently switched domains. Just wanted a fresh start you know, and although anyone could still find it, I want to be proud of the whole blog, not just random entries or blabbering on.
Sorry about the storm killing your TV and stuff!
