Over the weekend Landon and I stopped into Hillenmeyer Christmas Shop. I have lived in Lexington, KY for 11 years and I had NO idea this magical Christmas wonderland existed. It is SO festive and I’m already thinking we need to make at least one more stop there in the next week or so since Nate wasn’t with us when we went. It is truly an old-fashioned Christmas experience! They have beautiful trees, wreaths, a living nativity scene complete with mini donkeys and sheep, a sleigh for the perfect photo opportunity with Santa when he’s there (but still fun even if he isn’t!), hot cocoa, marshmallows for roasting on an open fire (no seriously, there were free marshmallows), and so much more. I was in awe and completely overwhelmed because I wanted everything! It smelled like Christmas tree heaven in that place.

I met up with some friends who helped wrangle Landon a bit and they snapped some photos of us, which was super sweet! He carried a few marshmallows around and licked a candy cane until it was all over him. He spent the rest of the time with his tongue sticking out trying to get the stickiness off, so that is why his tongue is out or he’s contorting his face in the photos.
