We made it out to Evans Orchard a few weekends ago and had an absolute blast. The weather was beautiful and Landon was in a good mood, despite missing his nap. This was our first trip out to Evans Orchard in Georgetown, Kentucky and it did not disappoint. This was the first year that Landon was really able to go into a kids play area and enjoy himself. He had so much fun bouncing on the bounce pad, climbing on the play tractors, swinging with us, seeing the animals, and just running off all of his energy! When we got there he immediately spotted the train and wanted to ride it, so we bought our tickets and got a private ride around the orchard since hardly anyone was there yet. He is still talking about it all day every day!

In past trips to the pumpkin patch/orchard, we have just been able to carry Landon around or let him toddle a little bit here and there while taking tons of beautiful photos. This year was a reality check. We have a two-year-old, and he wants to do what he wants to do! We hauled the camera around and took as many photos as we could but in most of them, he is just a streak of lightning running or bouncing by. The absolute best photo I took all day was taken with my phone when he decided to randomly pose for a photo and I couldn’t reach my camera. Real life isn’t always scenic and picture perfect but I kind of like it that way. I won’t lie though, I’m dying for some GOOD family photos of us. Every single time we go out with the intention of taking photos I swear THIS is the time I’m going to get a family photo. In the chaos of whatever we’re doing, I always forget. Anybody else do this?

I’m thankful that we made it out because the weather has finally started to turn colder. I’m not ready for it to be freezing cold but I AM ready for all of the cozy sweaters, boots, and scarves! Fun fact: in these photos I am actually wearing a LuLaRoe Julia dress folded up as a top with high-waisted jeans. I’m loving getting back into being creative with my wardrobe lately!
