I remember daydreaming about what this year would be like at the Pumpkin Patch. I am not one to wish away time, but I just knew it would be so much more fun this year when Landon would be old enough to enjoy it. And it was. We didn’t go on any of the rides or pay to let him play in the playground area. That stuff is still a little too old for him and not really worth it. I know that NEXT year he’ll be begging to do and have everything there! We kept it simple by just going out and playing in the pumpkin patch and apple orchard. He roamed around, picked an apple or two, played in the dirt, and had himself a good ‘ol time! We took him into the petting zoo to look at the animals but he was not very interested in them. It was so nice to be able to just let him RUN FREE and explore. I wore the comfiest (you guessed it) LuLaRoe dress and leggings! Today is the last day of the $50 LuLaRoe Giveaway – so get those entries in so you can snag a comfy dress of your own!
I’ll be honest, I got some looks in this outfit at the pumpkin patch. I think a lot of people are confused by dresses and feel like they can only be worn for special occasions and most definitely NOT for outdoor events with children. And that’s obviously true for MANY types of dresses. But that’s kind of what I love so much about LuLaRoe dresses – they’re stretchy, soft, and LONG. Even if I wasn’t wearing leggings with this dress there is no amount of bending over that I would be uncomfortable doing- you aren’t going to see my butt in a dress this length! And this particular style, the Nicole, is very easy to “shorten”. For part of the day I had the skirt pulled up and tucked into the top part a bit and held into place with my wide belt. I just happened to have the perfect owl belt to go with my owl print dress! To give you an idea of the length – I am 5’8″ and this is a Small Nicole.
We took so many photos! I think this may be one of the most picture heavy posts I’ve had in a while. We just couldn’t stop! There is something so dreamy about fall at the pumpkin patch! We went back out to Boyd Orchards this year. There are others closer to us, I believe. But I feel like we already have so many memories at Boyd! I’ll never forget the year that we went out there just a few days before I found out I was pregnant. And then when Landon was just 5 months old. And now, of course, that he is 16 months and running around! We didn’t even mean to make it a tradition but I think it is!
