I haven’t felt very inspired lately when it comes to outfits. I’ve pieced different things together over the last few weekends that I should have taken pictures of but for some reason, I just never did. Actually, now that I think about it I was starting to feel sick by then. :\ So I guess I can use that as an excuse. But yeah, there’ve only been a few outfits worth documenting. I’ve literally worn nothing but warm comfy clothes and fuzzy boots to work the past few weeks. The cold has a special power over my creativity and pretty much screams leggings and knock off Uggs.
Fall is just harder this year. I’m not adding much to my wardrobe at this point due to the fact that we actually have adult-people things to pay for. Summer was easier.. a tube top, a ruffly vest, my Mom’s old belt, and a side braid were all I needed.

But I know how much I longedfor Fall fashion, and I’m so excited it’s here. I just wish I had a little more money to invest in a few more key items! But I know that I can work with what I have! It’s all about perspective, right? I need to take a picture of my new Target cardigan- it’s going to help me re-work a few things that I haven’t even worn yet!
Before we know it, it wont even be Fall anymore. It will be full blown winter. In fact, we’re supposedly expecting flurries this weekend. I’m amazed by this year and how fast it has flown by. It’s hard to believe that a year that Nate and I anticipated so much is almost completely over. But it’s exciting too. I can’t wait to see the field behind our house covered in snow. I can’t wait to sip hot chocolate and lay in the floor with our bunny watching Christmas movies on Netflix. I can’t wait buy Christmas decorations and ornaments, and put up our very OWN tree! But I’ll try not to get too ahead of myself here. I’m still loving Fall, and I think now that I’m coming out of my sickness fog I will find my inspiration to blog more. =) I know that Fashion, personal style, and self portraits aren’t the most interesting things to some people- but I hope that someone out there can relate a little to my love for it and maybe feel inspired (the way that I have been by other bloggers) to be more creative and confident in their own “style”!

OMG ok… so your description of laying in the floor, sipping hot cocoa and watching Christmas movies? LOVE!
AHhhh Kalen, I can’t wait! I should have like.. a girls Christmas movie night at my house with hot chocolate, no bake cookies, and other really healthy Christmasy treats. Maybe you can teach me how to *not* fill my muffin/cupcake pan so full. hah!
Sidebraid is all you EVER need, haha.
You know… I think you’re right. 😉
