You GUYS, guess where I will be on June 1st?! The Maiedae Mixer – an annual fancy networking event for bloggers and creatives in the Southeast region. Jenny and Savannah of Maiedae are the two lovely ladies behind this event and from the looks of the gorgeous location, raffle items, and cupcakes (yes, there will be cupcakes!) it looks like they have completely outdone themselves! Have I convinced you to join us for a night of getting fancy and hanging out with like-minded ladies yet? Did I mention there will be a flower crown buffet? I’m positively giddy about having the opportunity to go to my very first blogger event. I casually mentioned the idea of going to my husband when I first heard about it, but I didn’t think it would really be feasible to travel almost 6 hours away to Rome, Georgia for it. Nate sweetly reminded me that we travel for his marathons, so why wouldn’t we travel for something important to me? He is usually the planner and I tend to like it that way. I’m a go with the flow kinda gal and I’d rather go along with someone else’s plans than try to create my own. I can have fun doing just about anything and I often worry that other people aren’t enjoying themselves when I make the plans! Silly, right? Nate is teaching me to recognize this trait and to realize that if it’s important to me then it’s important to him. We’re going to have a great mini trip and he already has some plans for the few hours I will be at the mixer! Sometimes you just need to go do something because it’s fun!
