Rainy Day in Florida

Well, it’s a rainy day here in my little town of Sebring, FL. I’m currently watching the rain come down from my cozy space at the dining room table. Not much different than watching it come down any where else, except for the palm tree blowing around.. and the thunder just sounds different here. I can’t explain it!

Loving this bicycle necklace that I found in my Mom’s old stuff!

My Mom and I started on a sewing project yesterday and I am hoping that we can finish it while I’m here. We purposely chose something that said it was easy.. but once we dove into the pattern- HA! I like it in a way because I’m learning terms and techniques quickly by starting off with a more intricate project for my first sewing lesson. But, I will be pretty sad if we can’t complete it! I’ve been going through a lot of stuff around here. I’ve come across tons of vintage jewelry and my Dad’s old, old camera. Earlier this morning my Mom dug out a bag from under the bed to show me a few dresses that she made- one in sixth grade! They’re in perfect condition and so, so wonderful. Like listen, you would be so jealous! Haha. If you’re into vintage dresses and styles that is. The only problem? My waist. And so my motivation to work out and eat right has skyrocketed. It is absolutely unfair that I have access to these awesome dresses and yet, I can only get them half way zipped. I will get into them, and it will be magical.

I’m hoping to get out and poke around town if the weather ever clears up. I have quite a few things on my “to-do” list while I’m here. I just want to make the most of my time, ya know? Well, have a great Tuesday! I’m off to… take a nap.. if no one else will get up and hang out with me. Haha.
