I’ve been trying to fit my blog into a category of sorts for a while now. Is my blog a fashion blog? A marriage blog? A blog overall dedicated to photographs that I take? My blog has had an extreme identity crisis, in my mind. And then it hit me. My blog doesn’t need a specific category or label. My life doesn’t have one, so why should the place where I document it need one? There are certainly things that I want to improve, categorize, and organize better here at Take-Hart. And I’m inspired every day by other bloggers to make my own internet space a better place- be it by strengthening my writing skills, posting quality content, or simply making sure to blog when I say that I will.
I like to keep things fresh, so I’m going to be thinking up a bit of a new look! It wasn’t that long ago that I rearranged things around here but I’m still just not satisfied. In a way, I feel like my blog is a lot like my house. I love my beautiful home and it’s filled with nice things, but it still needs more personalization and unique characteristics to add that “oomph” that I’m looking for. As far as my home is concerned- I’m aware that this takes time when you’re on a budget! But for the blog space, I just need a bit of creativity and a unique perspective! Keep any eye out for changes!

I hear ya. God help us smart, multi-tasking, multi-interested awesome bloggers, right?! lol <3
Haha- yes, exactly!! Too much going on in my brain at one time!
YES, you're absolutely right! 😉
I can totally relate to whatever you're saying. Especially when you're on a budget… Can't wait for the changes to happen!
I just have to figure out how I want to go about it, but I can't wait either!
They say to market and make money of your blog you should pick one topic… but to me (and i seems you too) MY blog is for ME. So I blog about what's going on… which turns out to be a little bit of this, and a little bit of that. A LOT of bloggers do it that way, and it seems to be working just fine 😉
and this is just a suggestion…If you re-design, consider limiting the stuff in the sidebars… you blog takes a while to load… which is why I don't often click over from my reader to comment ;-(
Well, I'm on the fence! I want my blog to be for me, but I also want to market and head toward a "professional" place as well. But nothing happens over night!
And that is a very good tip! I was reluctant to reinstall this commenting system because it used to slow down my website, but so far so good. I always want to be able to keep my sponsors/friends in the side bar but I could probably do without a few widgets!
EXACTLY, butterbean. We just come here to learn about YOU being YOU and what you love/hate/do. Keep on!
<3 Love you Emmysuh!
I feel the EXACT same way! I mean, there are so many things I want to talk about on my blog and take photos of. Relationships! School! Recipes! Traveling! Shopping sprees! But I feel as my blog needs to be in ONE of those categories and that's it. I've decided against that though…:P
So good luck! Either way, I'll still be a reader 😉
I think if we pick a few, and then the others make a debut now and then- it could work!
I feel the same way about my blog. I've had a few blogs over the years. A few weeks ago, I decided to move to wordpress. I am enjoying it very much. It feels better, if that makes any sense. I'm still struggling with where I want to take my blog. We come to read YOU!
That's me too- I've had a quite a few blogs over the years. This is really the first one that hasn't been written like a diary. It's more of a collection, and it works so much better for me. This is the first one that feels like ME.
I feel like it is a lot easier to express myself now, through this blog. I don't understand it but I like it
