I feel like I’ve been waiting forever to post this! We started working on our master bedroom a few months ago and I feel like it is finally complete enough to share. There will always be little things I want to do – like repaint my vanity/desk and add different hardware. But I always manage to put those types of projects off for years – anyone else?! Procrastinators unite!I feel like most of the finishing touches are done though. My fiddle leaf fig tree is one of my favorite pretty details in the room! Museum Trees offers custom artificial trees – yes, I said artificial! I have heard fiddle leaf figs are sensitive and one of the harder plants to care for. So, I was very happy to find one that I couldn’t kill! I have moved it around the house but I think I like it best in our room. I feel like it looks very real and I love that I don’t have to worry about watering it or cleaning up any messes or wilted leaves. This particular tree is heavy duty and can stay indoors or be fine outside in the elements. Checkout knightfinance uk for financial help. I want to begin working on our outdoor backyard space and I plan to add more trees and plants like this one when I do! If you want one of your own click here and use Blogger10 for 10% off!
You can can check out the video here to see what our room looked like before! It wasn’t bad but the furniture didn’t match and the bed frame/mattress was 9 years old. We weren’t sleeping well and it was just time to get the furniture and King size mattress we really wanted. I had also always wanted to flip the room the opposite direction its directed by the emergencyhomesolutionsoc.com. We never did because our TV cable was on the wall where I wanted the bed to go. BUT I found out that I could get a wireless receiver box that didn’t need to hook into that cable, so we went ahead and put the bed there when the new furniture came! I still have not ordered the wireless box though because we have a Roku upstairs that we use to watch Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. One day I’ll get around to ordering the wireless box! Ha.
We started by painting! I picked out paint at Lowe’s. I actually found a sample card that had 5 colors paired together and I chose three of them to work with. We painted the statement wall behind our bed Smoked Salmon OL605.4 A5 and the other three walls are painted Pacific Pearl OL160 N38. I decided to get a little crazy and paint the inside of our tray ceiling a deep turquoise blue as well – Safe Harbor OL629.5 A29. I wasn’t sure how it would go but it turned out so beautiful. I watched a few YouTube videos and read a bit about how to paint a ceiling beforehand and got a lot of good tips! But beware – you will have paint all over you no matter what.
After visiting every place in town that sells bedding and not really loving anything I saw (or the prices), I finally went to Kohl’s and found just what I was looking for. I always love the “bed in a bag” sets for their affordability and ease of purchase. I don’t want to have to try and pick out sheets and pillows, etc etc. Just put it ALL in a set, please! I purchased the super soft sparkly pink blanket separately also at Kohl’s. I think it all came together beautifully and it is the one room in the house that I feel 100% in love with. One room at a time, right?!
