I suppose I should say that I joined the circus GYM, but that doesn’t quite have the same ring to it. 😀 So I’ll keep taking my classes and pretending I joined the circus, quit my day job, and that I am living a life of glittery bodysuits and bright makeup. It could still happen for me, yeah? Holding on to the dream.
I took this video during my very last class on National Avenue. Sora is moving to a new location so I wanted to document this space because I just feel like there have been so many memories made here! Who remembers my Pregnant Circus days and all of the unsolicited advice I received for that? Ohhhh the memories. And all of the show practices! I have been fortunate enough to be in a few student shows. Practicing for them wore me out, but in the best way. I absolutely love the feeling that I’ll never get a specific move down but THEN through tons of practice, I finally get it. Nothing has ever pushed me like those shows and it’s the kind of discipline that I really need to have year round when it comes to my training. BUT I also have a lot going on and the balance is difficult to say the least.
If you’re thinking about giving an aerial class a shot – DO. IT. Look for a place near by. Take a class. I am such a shy person and it took me forever to get the courage to go. Looking back on it now I can’t imagine how much I would have missed out on if I had let that fear rob me of such a wonderful community of friends and fitness.
