We had a blast celebrating Landon this weekend! I’m not usually a water park girl but even I had fun, at 7 months pregnant. I will say, the lazy river was not as lazy as I expected. I wasn’t paying attention as I was rounding up tubes and getting everyone situated when suddenly a huge bucket of water turned upside down on my head. Swipe to see my reaction right after. I don’t think Nate has ever been more pleased. 🤣 He has been waiting years for that moment.
Happy 7️⃣th birthday to my sweetest, smartest, Happy 7️⃣th birthday to my sweetest, smartest, most wonderful Landon! He and Daddy went and got donuts this morning and picked out some fun books/toys at Target! I told him last night as I tucked him in bed that I cannot believe he is already SEVEN, and he responded, “Well… I’ve just been living my life!” 🙃🥲 I can’t wait to celebrate him all weekend! I love you, Landon! 💕🎈🎂
27 weeks ✨ I can’t believe I’m so close to t 27 weeks ✨ I can’t believe I’m so close to the third trimester! The last few days have been a challenge. Nate and the boys spoiled me on Mother’s Day and by the end of the day I was completely wiped out. I’m at the point where my mind feels very motivated and excited to do things but my body is now in pain doing just about anything. I could honestly sleep all day but on the flip side, I can hardly sleep at night because that’s the most uncomfortable time for me.

I’m trying so hard not to wish this time away. These are my last lil babies. This is the last time I will be pregnant. I feel so thankful and blessed. I can tell you right now that I never in a million years imagined myself as a twin mom and I certainly did not see myself with 4 kids! I remember being unsure we would even have two! 🤯 But now it all just feels so surreal and meant to be. I just can’t help but feel so ready to meet them!

This weekend we are celebrating the one who made me a mom as he turns 7! I don’t know how that’s even possible. It makes me realize just how fast these next few weeks are going to go. Time is flyiiinggg.
Thanks for the memories Islamorada! It was a wonde Thanks for the memories Islamorada! It was a wonderful treat to relax and experience a part of my home state that I’ve never had the pleasure of visiting! We will definitely be back, as Hargis party of 6, if we’re that brave. 😂🥳

I’m just here for the key lime pie mocktails.🍹😋
I think I’ll enjoy this view for a few days. 🥰
The beautiful weather this weekend was just what w The beautiful weather this weekend was just what we needed! Going to bed tonight excited for only two more days of work before some much needed relaxation.
Happy Easter! ✝️🐣 It has been a full day of Happy Easter! ✝️🐣 It has been a full day of celebrating over here! None of it would’ve been possible without Nate. He got off work and went to get a few last min presents for Cohen, picked up the cake, ordered pizza, filled all the eggs, and hid them. He sent me back to bed after lunch because I am still sick, but I was trying desperately to be better. 😐

I’m just so glad Cohen had a good birthday and they got an egg hunt! Maybe next year we’ll make it to church with all four little ones!🤞🏻

5 Tips for Personalizing Your Home with Unique Art

Dapper and Darling - Custom Silhouette Print - 5 Tips for Personalizing Your Home with Unique Art

It took me a long time to decide what to put on our walls. Nate and I aren’t big “art people” and while I feel like I have my own style that I love, I’m very indecisive (and on a budget). After living in our home for almost 8 years I have finally figured out exactly how I want to decorate our space. Here are a few tips that I have put together for personalizing your home with unique art after taking SO long to find what I love.
Dapper and Darling - Custom Silhouette Print - 5 Tips for Personalizing Your Home with Unique Art
1. Turn photos of your children and/or furbabies into works of art. – Silhouette paintings are my absolute favorite type of personalized art. This watercolor silhouette of Landon by Dapper and Darling is definitely my favorite piece of art I have ever owned. I sent them a photo of Landon’s profile, chose the type of wreath, and the watercolor shade. I chose “Dream Greens” for the wreath style and “Twilight” for the watercolor. It matches my house perfectly! You can get $5 off of your own with CODE: LEXINGTONLIFE5. Click here to view all of the options!

2. Decorate based on your location/where you call home. – We Kentuckians have quite a bit of state pride, so I love our gold foil print of Kentucky! And as a Florida native, I also purchased the foil print of the Tampa/St. Pete area where Nate and I got married. I still haven’t found the right frame for that one! Nate and I love to travel so our very first purchase was a large map of the US that we had framed. We stick little push pins in it that are color-coded depending on where we’ve been together or by ourselves. He got that idea from his Grandparents who traveled to all 50 states and had a similar map hanging in their basement. I love it and it’s pretty big so it is the focal point of our living room.

3. Find art that means something to you. – I chose a peacock theme for our wedding and color scheme. The peacock canvas print above was given to me by my parents as a birthday gift and it looks perfect in our living room! You can find some of our peacock wedding décor throughout our house. I like having a little bit of a theme throughout the house and continuing to keep some memories from our wedding around!

4. Print your photos! – Seriously. Print out your photos regularly and hang them up. Don’t let your memories go to waste stored on your computer hard drive! I print mine about twice a year through Shutterfly and switch them out. It makes me so happy to see all of our beautiful family photos around our home.

5. Display your art and photos in a unique way. – I have a large old window hanging in my living room which I have strung twine inside of to hang photos. It matches the style of my house and feels much more interesting to me than if I just hung them in simple frames. Put up shelves, too! I have the Kentucky foil print and the Dapper and Darling silhouette sitting on individual shelves. It makes them stand out a bit more!

How do you choose what you hang on your walls? Are you sentimental or do you buy things on the fly that you like? I think I will forever be that person who needs everything to have meaning and I’m okay with that! 😀
