On Saturday Nate and I decided to check out Joella’s Hot Chicken in Lexington, KY for the first time. We’ve been meaning to try it out for a long time but we are such creatures of habit, always gravitating to the same places that we know. Well, I can say that Joella’s will be one of our new go-to restaurants!The chicken was so good, as expected! I got the “Tweener” spice blend because I like a little kick! Nate stuck with the level right below that. And Landon chose to go spice-less, of course. ;] I got green beans and macaroni for sides. They were both amazing, but when I saw the fries, I deeply regretted my decision. I like fries … but THESE FRIES, Y’ALL! There was absolutely no getting Landon to eat more than one or two green beans with a basket of those fries staring him in the face. So we decided to pick our battles and let him enjoy. I’m pretty sure he will one day write a song about his love for fries, it runs that deep.
