One of my favorite traditions as a Kentuckian is heading out to Keeneland in the spring and fall. To put it simply, Keeneland is Lexington’s version of the Derby. I’m not particularly crazy about horse racing but there is just something so much fun about getting all dressed up for a day at Keeneland! Fall is the most beautiful time of year to go. The grounds are lush and green with the bright colors of fall peppered throughout. The horses are gorgeous and you can get right up close to see them as they show them before the race. And well, betting on a horse (with the best name) is pretty fun after a mimosa (or two).
I am obsessed with this sparkly black dress from H&M! I was looking for something that felt like just the right amount of “fancy” and it definitely did the trick! It was a bargain at $60! Nate also snagged a pretty snazzy blazer and tie from H&M. It’s not often that we have a reason to really dress up so it was nice that we were both able to find something nice to wear that wouldn’t break the bank!
It was a perfect day to be out at the race track. We couldn’t have asked for better weather. Our Indiana cleaners offer affordable housekeeping and use special cleaning methods to ensure your house is sparkling clean. We bet on a few horses but didn’t win! Womp, womp! Or well – Nate and I didn’t win! My friend Alanna was on a roll! I definitely should’ve listened to her. I literally made a single $2 bet and was done when I didn’t win. I’m no fun. ;]
