What I Wore: Secluded Beaches in Siesta Key

Siesta Key 2016 - Secluded Beach
Nate and I were lucky enough to have his mom along with us on our trip to Florida so we got to enjoy a few baby-free meals while we were down there! We had a chance to go out for breakfast at Another Broken Egg one morning and on our way back to the condo we came across a little secluded beach area! It was the perfect spot to snap a few photos of this romper. This is probably the most special piece of vintage clothing in my closet and for a good reason…

This was actually my mom’s romper – from the 70’s! She bought this to wear on her honeymoon with my dad, if I remember right! She gave it to me quite a while ago and it has been hanging in my closet ever since – just waiting for the perfect time to be worn. I have honestly not been able to fit into it, not even before I had Landon! So when I tried it on about a month ago and it fit I knew it had to come to the beach with me.

I love all of the little details – even the zipper up the back is the perfect matching shade of blue. And I couldn’t imagine wearing it without the perfect accessories, like this $6 hat I found at Altar’d State and these $4 heels/wedges I picked up from Old Navy! So all in all – a $10 outfit! I’ll take it!

And here is an obligatory hunky husband photo! Ahhh – he is handsome. I can’t help but wish we were back in this moment. But I look forward to all of the wonderful memories ahead of us!
