I drove home today blaring this while dancing wildly at stop lights and singing at the top of my lungs. That being said, I drove to work dancing and singing to this– and yes, I do still know all of the words. I’m not ashamed because, most people look terribly bored sitting at stop lights. But no sir, not me…. I’m not sure why there is so much “old school” music on the radio lately, but it takes me back and I like it!
I’m extremely happy that it’s Friday, and as I type this it just hit me that yesterday was “Thankful Thursday”- whoops! I’m going to get back on track with that, promise! Apparently I’m one of those people that falls off the wagon easily when it comes to structured blogging. When I start putting a schedule to something I guess it sort of makes it feel like a chore. And, I suppose I don’t like being told what to do.. not even by myself.
This weekend should be pretty jam packed with fun! Jackson & Kristie are coming into town for a visit and so that Nate and Jackson can got to the UK football game tomorrow night together. Nate’s other ticket was offered to me after Nate’s Dad said he couldn’t go- but after a few minutes of brainstorming I thought it a better idea to try and bribe Jackson & Kristie into coming to visit with it and it worked! Yaayyy. =) Now that they’ve moved a couple more hours away we wont be seeing them as often so I’m excited that they’re coming! And- there is a Latin Festival down town tomorrow night! Brittany and I were thinking about going, so if Kristie seems interested maybe we’ll do that! Our downtown area is pretty awesome- after all, Nate did ask me to be his girlfriend and his wife there!
Ashley missed the “Hollister Jean Skirt Memo”.. heh. (this is super old, by the way!)
I’m thinking maybe we should visit a few of my favorite places down town if we ended up in that area! Like:
Charlie Browns! This is the coziest restaurant/bar I’ve ever been to. When you go in, you go down a flight of stairs into a basement type area where the main restaurant is. My favorite part? The couches! There is a fireplace and there are couches against the wall next to the bar nestled right by the fireplace. I love sitting there and I get real pouty when someone else snags it before we do! It’s got a very vintage underground feel to it with the dim lighting, old floral couches, and walls lined with books. Plus- they have great food and awesome prices on margaritas by the pitcher! Lastly, there is a desert (alcoholic) drink called the Mint Chocolate Cookie- and yes it tastes just like it sounds!
See the books? Pay no attention to the abuse going on in this picture..
And on the couches..
And.. for some lolz.. Jackson and Kristie on their couch… (she’ll love this pic, I’m sure!)
Woohoo, I’m excited for the weekend! Many pictures to come, I’m sure! =)
