DIY Present Wrapping

I got a little creative one evening when I realized that my Mom’s Christmas presents needed to be mailed out the next day, and that we were all out of wrapping paper and tape. I think they turned out pretty cute, don’t you? I love the look of the plain brown bag wrapping with twine that’s super popular as of late, so when I realized that I had a huge sheet of brown paper that I had saved from when we brought home our giant US map – I knew exactly what to do. Not having any tape was a little difficult, but my box of stray ribbons that I’ve had for years worked out perfectly! I got out my stamp set and stamped all of the lettering that you see- and then traced them with a purple fine tip sharpie. I really wanted to use my little flower shape punch (which I’m sure has a more sophisticated name than that- but for some reason this is all I can think to call it). I cut the ends in to strips and punched them. Tada. Oh and I even made a little card to match!

In case you’re wondering, the wrapped presents were pajamas. ;] I think my favorite part about wrapping them like this was that no one would ever guess that is what was inside! Second favorite thing? Free wrapping paper and good reasoning behind my hoarding tendencies. I just knew those 4 year old ribbons would come in handy some day!
